The Devonshire reservations: release time and walk-in options
The Devonshire in Soho releases à la carte reservations on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. for three weeks ahead. Select your desired date in its booking widget to see the relevant release Thursday. Restaurant reservations, pub visits and larger-group enquiries follow different routes.
When do The Devonshire bookings open?
The restaurant’s official FAQ gives a weekly Thursday release. Its calendar tells you when a particular date will open. Use that date-specific instruction before setting a reminder, especially when your meal falls near the boundary of a booking week.
Prepare for the weekly release
Write down the dining date and the release Thursday separately. Save your reminder in the London time zone so a trip or daylight-saving change does not silently move your booking attempt. Decide acceptable lunch and dinner times before the release begins.
- Choose your meal date in the official booking widget.
- Record the release Thursday displayed for it.
- Agree the real party size and acceptable seating times.
- Open the official reservation route when the release is due.
- Review the offered menu and conditions before completing the booking.
Can you reserve the pub or roof terrace?
The downstairs pub takes walk-ins only, and the roof terrace is also reserved for walk-ins. The FAQ says there is currently no table waiting list. Walk-in seating remains subject to availability.
What to do when your date looks full
First check that it has been released. Once it has, decide whether trying a walk-in is realistic for your group. A pub visit may be enjoyable on its own, but it is a different plan from a confirmed meal upstairs.
If a friend is traveling a long way for dinner, agree that distinction before setting out. Choose a backup within a practical journey, and set a time to switch plans rather than assuming a table must become free.
Use the group route for a larger table
The standard FAQ directs groups of 8–14 to its feasting enquiry. Christmas has separate group limits and options, so check the current seasonal instructions. An enquiry needs a reply and confirmation before it becomes a booking.
