Resy Notify: setup, alerts and what to do next
Resy Notify alerts you when a table opens for your selected restaurant, date, party size and time range. Find the restaurant on Resy, choose Notify and save your preferences. When an alert arrives, open it and complete the booking; the notification itself is not a reservation.
Set up your Notify
Resy’s official guide describes Notify on its website and iOS app. Select the restaurant, date, party size and preferred time. Alerts can arrive by email and, with app permissions enabled, push notification. A successful booking produces a confirmation email.
Choose a useful time window
Start with the earliest time your whole group can arrive and the latest time you would still want to eat. Include travel, childcare or the end of a show in that decision. A wide window is only useful if its times are genuinely workable.
Check the branch as carefully as the restaurant name. Save the official listing with your plans so that a later alert does not send you to a different neighborhood. These are preparation tips, not promises about how Resy prioritizes alerts.
If an alert does not lead to a table
The opening may already have been booked. Recheck availability rather than assuming the notification gave you a hold. If no alert arrives, there may simply have been no matching opening. Neither situation proves your account is broken.
As a practical check, review your saved date and time range, the email account you use, spam filtering and your phone’s notification permissions. Focus or quiet modes can also make a time-sensitive message easier to miss.
Be ready without making a rushed choice
Before the day, agree a budget and seating preferences with your group. Have your booking account ready, but read any deposit or cancellation condition on the actual reservation before accepting it.
After booking, add the confirmed time and address to your calendar. If your plans change, use the provider’s cancellation process promptly.
Resy Notify and Slother
Resy Notify is an existing feature from Resy. Slother is a separate app in development for watching supported booking sources against your preferences. Resy integration has not been announced. You can use the official Notify feature now while exploring the Slother concept.
Sources checked on . Booking policies can change; confirm details on the official booking page. Slother is independent of the platforms and restaurants mentioned.
